Biography
Prior to his current employment, he worked in a variety range of positions including RE, Senior Reservoir Engineer, and Consultant at UK oil and gas upstream sector. In addition, he worked as a Reader (Associate Professor) at London South Bank University, London, UK. In fact, he is the founder of the Petroleum Engineering department at this university. • He holds a First Class Honors BEng in Petroleum Engineering and a Ph.D in Steam-foam drive process in EOR from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK. • He has had around 35 years of academic, industrial and research experiences mainly associated with the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry. • He is currently the EOR Cluster Leader within the Subsurface Team of the Technology Group. The job involves advanced technology screening and implementation for relevant Reservoir subsurface challenges and adopting the most efficient and economic ones to address them. • Major Area of interest: EOR, Reservoir monitoring and simulation, Uncertainty analysis, new technologies and innovation, unconventional reservoirs, and production optimization. • He has published many articles in both conferences and journals in the area of EOR, production optimization, and reservoir simulation. • Link: www.KOCKW.com
